Man Turns Himself into Police

(West Chester, Oh.)-- A man has been charged with causing a fatal car accident that occurred in May.

Terrance Strader, 32, turned himself into the West Chester Police Department Thursday morning and is now facing several charges including Aggravated Vehicular Homicide.

“Because of the complexities and seriousness of the case the time was taken to complete a thorough investigation and consideration of the charges to be filed.” Acting Chief of Police, David Kelly, said concerning the amount of charges placed on Strader.

The charges include Aggravated Vehicular Homicide, and Operation in Willful or Wanton Disregard of the Safety of Persons or Property that are related to the fatal crash on May 29 at State Route 747 and Port Union Road that caused the death of Troy Stapleton.

Charges are also being filed on Strader for the accident that happened minutes before the fatal crash at State Route 747 and Mackenzie Court. These charges are Assured Cleared Distance Ahead, and Leaving the Scene of an Accident.

The case has been turned over to the county prosecutor and an arraignment is anticipated for Friday.
