(Middletown, Oh.)-- A Middletown native was drafted fourth overall in the 2014 Major League Draft on Thursday night.
Kyle Schwarber is a catcher from Indiana University and was picked by the Chicago Cubs.
The left hander junior hits .358 with 14 home runs, and 48 runs batted runs.
He helped lead, Indiana University team, the Hoosiers to the NCAA tournament, and is also one of three finalist for the Johnny Bench Award which is awarded to the top catcher in Division 1 college baseball.
Schwarber is predicted to move to the outfield in the major leagues.
