America’s favorite pretty little liar Lucy Hale reigns in her country roots for her debut single “You Sound Good To Me,” the lead-in to her forthcoming debut album on Hollywood Records.

The single, which could fit perfectly in Taylor Swift’s catalogue, has that pop-country fare, with strings tingling against thumping drums wrapped tightly in a luscious melody.

“I’m going to do a country/pop album, and I couldn’t be more excited,” the actress-turned-singer told MTV News in 2012 about her upcoming record. “I grew up in Tennessee, so that’s always been my heart and soul. It’s hard to come across a true country fan in L.A., but it’s true that the fans are so loyal, once you’re in their circle, you’re in for your entire career. It just really speaks to me.”

She continued, “Country music has so much soul and is so heartfelt. I think it’s a perfect fit for me. I think it will surprise people.”

The song’s official music video, which will also feature appearances by Swift, John Mayer and Band of Horses, will premiere during the Pretty Little Liars winter kickoff on ABC Family Tuesday (Jan. 7) at 8 p.m. EST.
