Seth Meyers is moving from Late Night to primetime when he hosts the Emmys on August 25.
With just a little over a week until showtime, “It’s coming to together well,” he tells On Air with Ryan Seacrest.
“We’re starting to lock in our ideas and write our jokes and we’re really looking forward to it. For someone like me who can’t sing or dance, the open is pretty much where we feel as though I can make the biggest impact, so that’s the biggest part for us: To have a strong monologue and just write a ton of jokes.”
Soon after the Emmys, it’s another big milestone for Seth: the one-year anniversary to his wife, Alexi Ashe. Their plans? The couple is attending another wedding!
The Primetime Emmys are Monday, August 25, at 5 p.m. on NBC.
